Diaz vs McGregor 2 Press Conference Goes Off the Rails
Diaz vs McGregor 2 is this Saturday and it’s a fight that I’ve been looking forward to for a while. I dont give a shit about this press conference. It’s cliche as fuck for McGregor to have an incident during the pre fight events. Yawn. Throwing water bottles at people in crowd. Neat. It’s essentially the UFC cementing the fact that they want to be more like the WWE in terms of promotion and thats fine but this fight doesn’t need all that extra shit.
McGregor was well on his way to being one of the more dominate MMA fighters of all time before he got caught by Nate Diaz in a shocking loss.
McGregor really seems like he’s been missing on his fast ball ever since he got beat. Could be that he’s just not as captivating without that unbeatable aura around him. Of course Conor had lost before but he hadn’t lost since 2010 so he felt untouchable. Where does Conor go from here?
Anderson Silva went six years between losses and now hasnt won in his last 5 fights so it will be interesting to see if Conor McGregor’s career falls apart like Spider’s did or if he will bounce back to his dominate form. I hope he bounces back because the UFC is much more compelling when the guy who is throwing water bottles is bodying everyone in his path instead of getting choked out. I also didn’t picture Conor as the kind of guy who would tap from a rear naked choke. I thought that he would just go black. Nothing wrong with tapping. I’d tap. Didnt think McGregor would, though.
Here’s the first full fight if you’ve never seen it. It’s a classic.
